Do-it-yourself tooth whitening products are everywhere but in some cases they can strip tooth enamel or cause uneven results. Professional whitening treatment is the safest option for you and your smile.

See Immediate Results with In-Office Whitening.

We offer in-office whitening for patients who want to have an immediately whiter smile.

Whiten Gently with At-Home Kits.

If your teeth are sensitive, we offer a supervised at-home whitening product to whiten your smile gently over time, avoiding some of the tooth sensitivity often associated with whitening.

What teeth whitening treatments do you offer?

We offer a number of options for whitening your teeth including both in-office whitening treatments and those for home use. Dr. McCormick will examine your teeth and discuss your objectives. With 25 years of experience in professional teeth whitening, he can create the right plan for you.

What are my options if I want to see immediate results?

In office, we use the Opalescence Boost Teeth Whitening System.  After just a single session you will have significantly brighter teeth.

Do you use a light as part of the whitening procedure?

No, the light is not necessary and use of a light can dehydrate teeth. The dehydration makes them look lighter for a short period, but there is a rebound effect that makes them look darker in the longer term.  The Opalescence Boost system is chemically activated and does not require a light.

What type of at home teeth whitening systems do you offer?

We use Opalescence take-home whitening gel and the Opalescence Go system. Opalescence take-home whitening gel is delivered via custom-made trays and comes in a variety of concentrations. The Opalescence Go system utilizes prefilled disposable trays.

What if I have sensitive teeth?

While higher concentration products will yield faster results, they might not be the right option for patients with sensitive teeth. If you have tooth sensitivity, you may need to whiten your teeth more slowly with the Opalescence gel that utilizes a lower concentration of the whitening agent to achieve the look you desire without irritating your teeth. If you have very sensitive teeth, we also offer desensitizing products to make the whitening process more comfortable.

What if just one tooth has darkened and no longer matches the rest of my teeth?

Internal whitening of individual teeth may be a good option if you. Tooth discoloration sometimes occurs if you had a root canal or damage to the tooth. Dr. McCormick will look at your individual circumstances and present the options that will work best for your needs.

About Dr. Andrew McCormick:

Dr. Andrew T. McCormick is a native Californian originally from Monterey County. He graduated from U.S.C. school of dentistry and subsequently opened his practice in Santa Rosa, finding Sonoma County to be an ideal place to locate.

Learning more about the connection between dentistry, medicine, and medications and environmental toxins is of particular interest to Dr. McCormick because he sees the effects of these on his patients.  Because of this, he has sought out non-traditional and progressive educations.  Some of these groups have recently been the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH) and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).

One of Dr. McCormick’s interests is involvement in the community.  He was an early participant in Leadership Santa Rosa and now he sits on the board for PDI, a dental clinic in Windsor for underprivileged children. In January 2010, he became an accredited member of AACD, one of 350 dentists worldwide, after extensive work to raise his level of expertise in cosmetic and rehabilitative dentistry.
