Opalesence Tooth Whitening:

We offer both in-office and at-home whitening treatments , and which one may work best for you is an individual choice. Dr. McCormick will always examine your teeth before recommending a whitening plan, since the pace and extent of whitening depends on your overall oral health. We use Opalescence treatments and products both in-office and for our patients who want to whiten their teeth at home.

For immediate results, visit our office for a session with the Opalescence Boost Teeth Whitening System. Our patients notice significantly brighter teeth after one treatment, which is chemically-activated and does not require light activation as some whitening systems do. If a longer, more gradual approach to whitening is better for you, we use the Opalescence Go system for at-home treatment, along with Ultradent whitening gel.

Invisible Braces with Smart Moves Orthodontics:

Smart Moves Orthodontics can help move your teeth gently into a straighter alignment, fixing both aesthetic and mild bite issues. They are a form of simple orthodontics, overseen by Dr. McCormick, and consist of a custom-made series of clear trays you wear to progressively shift your teeth into place. No braces, no lengthy orthodontist appointments, and no pain during treatment. Smart Moves is cost-effective, easy for busy adults to use, and uses clear, comfortable, inconspicuous trays to straighten your teeth. Treatment usually takes about six months. Talk to Dr. McCormick to find out if you’re a good candidate for this type of straightening, or whether another method might work better for you.

Composite & Porcelain Veneers:

Dental veneers are used to improve the beauty and strength of a patient’s teeth. They cover the front teeth and often wrap over the edge of the teeth for added strength. Veneers are generally made of porcelain (a glass-like material) or composite (a highly-developed resin material).

A porcelain veneer is strong, but inflexible, and are longer-lasting and more stain-resistant than composite veneers. We work with a dental lab to create custom veneers for each patient. Composite veneers, on the other hand, can be completed in one office visit, and are made of flexible material, although they are not as strong and are more easily stained. Which one is best for you will depend on several factors, which Dr. McCormick can talk with you about.

About Dr. Andrew McCormick:

Dr. Andrew T. McCormick is a native Californian originally from Monterey County. He graduated from U.S.C. school of dentistry and subsequently opened his practice in Santa Rosa, finding Sonoma County to be an ideal place to locate.

Learning more about the connection between dentistry, medicine, and medications and environmental toxins is of particular interest to Dr. McCormick because he sees the effects of these on his patients.  Because of this, he has sought out non-traditional and progressive educations.  Some of these groups have recently been the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH) and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).

One of Dr. McCormick’s interests is involvement in the community.  He was an early participant in Leadership Santa Rosa and now he sits on the board for PDI, a dental clinic in Windsor for underprivileged children. In January 2010, he became an accredited member of AACD, one of 350 dentists worldwide, after extensive work to raise his level of expertise in cosmetic and rehabilitative dentistry.
